granule

Some kind of machines are used to produce plastic products and parts, and these machines need some kind of raw materials. Plastic raw materials in the form of granules may be produced from new polymers and used in a wide range of plastic industries, including the production of rubber, electric cables and all kinds of materials needed for product packaging. In addition, the recycling of plastic waste into usable granules is expanding, which is the raw material of many industries, including rubber, asphalt and furnace fuel.

Granule
Granules include the granular form of polymers that are made from recycled materials. In fact, recycled granules are made from polymer and plastic waste such as polyethylene, polypropylene and other recyclable plastics by melting these materials and then using them in another way. If you intend to buy granules or sell granules, join us in this article to get to know the factors that affect the price of granules and make a more informed purchase.

stages of granule production
In order to produce granules, it is necessary to put the plastic and polymer waste into the recycling machine and then turn it into small pieces. These are small pieces of granules, which is actually the result of this work, the production of granules from the recycling machine. In the following, we will discuss the types of granule production methods, how to price and buy more granules.

Granule production methods
During the production of plastic products, the plastic parts that enter the machine should be in the form of small balls. Because if they enter the machine in heterogeneous forms, the quality of the manufactured products will be greatly reduced and it will not create a uniform composition. As a result, there will be economic losses. This is the reason why manufacturers think of producing raw materials in the form of pellets. Granule production methods are as follows:

1. String granule production (Stand Type)
String granule production is the first method of granule production, which is very popular and popular due to its simplicity and ease of use. Production in this way is done with a string granulator. In this method, the melted pieces of plastic first pass through the extruder and come out in a string through special filters. After coming out of the sieve, these plastics are passed through the water pool to cool down and put into the plastic mill for processing, and finally the drying process is done on them.

2. Production of dry granules (Hot Die Face Cutting)
In this recycling method, the plastics are first crushed inside the extruder, passed through a sieve and then cut into a molten form with the help of a blade. At the same time, they are cooled and dried by suction and passing through pipes. Then it enters the larger tank, a pressure difference is created, and the heavier granules settle at the bottom of the tank, and the lighter and more functional granules will be accessible and used at the top of the tank.

3. Water Ring Cutting System
This method works the same as the previous method, and the difference is that the plastic materials, after passing through the filter and being cut, stick around the tank and are cooled by the cold water tank. The output of this device is lentil-shaped products.

4. Underwater cutting system (Under Water Cutting)
In this method, it works like the string method and after the materials pass through the sieve, they are directed under water and cut on the spot. This method is suitable for high capacities and is a suitable option for most thermoplastics.

Using types of granules
The presence of plastic waste in our living environment causes damage to the environment, humans and animals and creates a very ugly appearance in our living environment. In this situation, these plastics can be recycled and reused in different industries in the form of granules, and in this way, energy and costs will be saved to a great extent. This type of waste, when left unused in the environment, causes a lot of damage to the environment, but the reuse of these wastes can help the environment a lot. What is meant by grade off?
The two main indicators of polymer materials are melt flow index (MFI) and density. If the properties of a polymer product are far from the properties mentioned in the data sheet of the new product, that product is called grade-off.
Types of Grade F
The types of F grades are divided into different types according to the presence or absence of each of the indicators:

Grade off 1 (off 1)
If a polymer grade is not within the range of one of these indicators or has both ranges but has contamination or black streaks, it is called off 1.
Grade off 2 (off 2)
If a polymer grade is out of both the MFI and Density ranges or is not in one of the ranges and has contamination, it is called off 2.
Grade off 3 (off 3)
If a polymer grade has other impurities such as gravel or any type of small and large waste, it is called off 3.
How is the price of granules determined?
The price of Off grades one is 90% of the price of On grade, the price of Off grades two is 80% of the base price of On grade, Off three is 60% of the base price and lump is 40% of the base price. The price of On Grade powder is calculated up to 3% lower than the basic price and is offered for sale in the commodity exchange.

Purchase granules
“Granules make up a huge part of post-consumer plastics recycling. By buying granules, you will play a large role in preventing damage to the environment and reusing plastic waste. Granule prices will vary depending on the type and amount you need. Therefore, if you intend to buy or sell granules, it is better to inquire about the price from reputable centers first.”
